S2 Cast details!

During American Horror Story’s Friday night PaleyFest appearance, showrunner Ryan Murphy confirmed the final returning cast members. Joining Jessica Lange for Season 2 will be Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, and fan-favorite Evan Peters!

Earlier on Friday it was announced scene-stealer Zachary Quinto would be joining the cast as a regular. Not unlike his Season 1 character Chad, he will be acting as a foil to Lange’s character.

As previously reported, the next season of American Horror Story will take place at an East Coast medical institution and will revolve around Lange’s new character. No word yet on what characters Paulson, Rabe, and Peters will be playing this time around, or if they will be on regular or recurring status. READ MORE

Jessica “Constance Langdon” Lange will be here tonight!

Details on Jessica Lange’s Return to American Horror Story!

Per Entertainment Weekly, Jessica Lange has officially been confirmed as returning for Season 2 of FX’s American Horror Story. Lange previously portrayed Constance Langdon on the hit horror anthology, for which she’s already won a Golden Globe and Screen Actor’s Guild Award for her performance.

While it was formerly announced Lange would return a few weeks ago, new details have just emerged. According to showrunner Ryan Murphy:

We have designed the second season of American Horror Story completely around her character. […] Last year Jessica came in with Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott. This will really be the Jessica Lange show so I’m very excited about it. We are designing this amazing new opposite of the Constance character for her. She and I have spoken about different things. She has a lot of ideas, and has a lot of input into her character. She told me some things she has always wanted to play as an actress. She’s a great collaborator and a great friend. READ MORE…

The one and only Jessica Lange will be returning to American Horror Story for S2. Seems appropriate, as only she could ever possibly top Constance Langdon. ;)
